Granary Bread
Wholegrain foods such as granary, wholegrain bread are a healthy choice because they are low fat, high in fibre, and a good source of vitamin B. Eating a diet rich in wholegrains has been shown to support a healthy heart, help keep your digestive system running smoothly and provide slow release energy to help to keep blood sugar levels steady.


Our mixed leaves now include Spinach
Spinach has plenty of B vitamins which help release energy from food; it also contains folic acid which helps prevent birth defects like spina bifida. Spinach contains antioxidant vitamins including vitamins C and E as well as iron for a healthy immune system

Houmous
Made from chickpeas, which is from the pulse family. Pulses are a great low fat source of protein whilst providing fibre, B vitamins, folic acid and potassium. Chickpeas and pulses with a slow steady release of energy are considered great hunger busters too.

Mixed Peppers & Roasted Peppers
Peppers are a great source of vitamin C and phytonutrients called carotenoids including beta-carotene. Beta-carotene converts to vitamin A when we eat it and is an important immune-boosting nutrient.

Irish poached Salmon
Salmon is a source of protein, vitamins A and D and minerals selenium and zinc. Salmon is considered an oily fish and contains essential omega 3 fatty aicds. Omega 3's have a strong link with health, particularly heart, brain and joint health. For a healthy diet, we are advised to eat at least two portions of oily fish a week.
