O’Briens Sandwich Bars launches its biggest Scottish store in the heart of Glasgow’s thriving business district today, as the hand cut sandwich and gourmet coffee bar franchise opens a 3,000 sq ft outlet at 81 Bothwell Street. It is one of the first O’Briens outlets in the world to open with a new, improved retail offer and look.

The 15 store staff are led by manager Denise Wright at the Bothwell Street outlet, the 45th for the brand in Scotland and 16th in Glasgow. It is being designed specifically to accommodate the large business community on its doorstep, including offering a small conference room for hire, providing a dedicated express area for takeaway customers, seating for 100, as well as a catering service delivered in a temperature controlled vehicle for meetings and conferences.

The new retail offer comes complete with a new look for the shop that has a focus on soft seating and a lighter colour pallet, offering a more comfortable environment for customers with a little more time to sit back and relax with friends and colleagues or for that important business meeting.”

Popular branded sandwiches, such as Toosties®, Wrappos®, Trippledeckers® and ShambosTM, seasonal dishes and speciality coffees and Fairtrade teas, are complemented by fresh fruit, salads and tempting cakes.
