O’Briens Named Best Franchise in Ireland and Fiacra Nagle, CEO O’Briens Franchise Person of the Year

O’Briens were awarded the Irish Franchise Associations top titles by Frank Ryan CEO Enterprise Ireland, at the Irish Franchise Associations Annual Award ceremony at the Davenport Hotel on Friday 17th November, 2006.

O’Briens Sandwich Bars Group is ecstatic with their double win, and thrilled to be chosen as Retail Franchise of the Year in 2006, two years after winning the award the first time. O’Briens Chief Executive Officer, Fiacra Nagle comments on the win, “To be chosen as Franchise of the Year, two years out of three, is a real affirmation that continuous reinvestment in the brand is working for us”.

Both awards recognises the strength of the O’Briens brand, the quality of service and support provided, security of investment, and the continuous development of the brand.

“Over the past 18 months the group has rolled out a third generation store concept, which ensures we can continue to compete effectively in a very busy market”, says Chief Executive Officer, Fiacra Nagle.

The driving force behind the O’Briens third generation store concept Fiacra Nagle, upon receiving his award, Franchise Person of the Year, spoke about the important role the franchise industry plays in the Irish economy.

“The Irish Franchise Industry is one of the enterprise sectors which continues to drive the development of our economy, contributing to employment, new and innovative products for consumers, and general wealth creation”, says Chief Executive Officer, and Franchise Person of the Year 2006 Fiacra Nagle “I am delighted that O’Briens contribute to the development of the franchise industry in Ireland, and also, that I have may have supported in some small way personally, the franchise industry”.
