18 Jan 06 -  Sydney Welcomes Its First O’Briens Sandwich Bar

Ireland’s most successful café franchise, with over 300 stores on four continents, was opened in Bakehouse Quarter, George Street, North Strathfield on Wednesday 18 January 2006 by the Honorable Mr Tony Kelly, Minister for Justice, Lands and Environment.

O’Briens Sandwich Bars, established in Dublin in 1988, is famous for its Made to Order Sandwiches which is complimented by its Freshly Prepared Salads, Wrappo, fresh Juice and Smoothies and Coffee business. O’Briens Guilt Free Food Menu recognizes the consumer’s need for accurate information in order to make an informed choice. O’Briens has teamed up with expert nutritionists to provide the healthiest of ingredients in their food The introduction of O’Briens specially blended coffee bean from Italy, ensures customers can enjoy ‘the best coffee in town”

The launch of this Sydney store is the first for Australian Master Franchisee, Eddie Hughes. Speaking at the launch Eddie outlined that he is “delighted to be introducing a genuine assured brand with genuine Irish character and its unique concept of Guilt Free Food to Sydney and with a second store to open in Blacktown Shopping Centre in March and an ambitious expansion programme plan in place for further stores, expect to see many more O’Briens stores in Sydney and throughout Australia and New Zealand over the coming years”
