01 Dec 06 -  O'Briens Widens Its Spread With First Store In Cathedral City

O'Briens Sandwich Bars Mall Street Shopping Centre, Armagh will open its doors to the public for the first time on Thursday 7th December '06, as Janet Treanor embarks on her first business venture with O’Briens hand cut sandwich, gourmet coffee, hot counter, and juice bar outlet.

Employing nine local people, this store is one of the largest in the region with 48 internal and 12 external seats, and boasting a complete O’Brien’s third generation store concept offering. Hot food counter, fair-trade organic teas, gourmet coffee incorporating beans direct from the grower, Shambo™’s, Toostie®s, Wrappo®’s freshly baked products and cakes, specialty soups and tossed salads are all part of the new O’Briens offering.

Exclusive to the Mall Shopping centre, the store also offers customers a real healthy alternative with a made to order juice and smoothie bar.

O’Briens, Irish Retail Franchise of the Year 2006 was Janet’s first choice when looking at a retail business opportunity. Commenting on the opening, Janet, "We always wanted to open an O’Briens. Armagh was our first choice for location and we were determined to secure the best retail site to help ensure growth of our business”, said Janet.

Janet is supported in the business by her husband, who has owned his own service station for a number of years.

Special discount vouchers are being distributed to shoppers and businesses in the high street area during the first few weeks of business to give customers the chance to sample the O'Briens offering.
