The
month – long
nationwide on-air competition in association with Tony Fenton’s
Lunchtime Show launched O’Brien’s NEW signature
sandwich … The Shambo™, made with shamrock shaped
foccacio and nutty whole meal bread.
Each of
the finalists competing in the outside broadcast finale in
Dublin Airport were ready with their bags packed to take
the 17:00hrs flight to dive with the Great White Shark in
Cape town, South Africa, home of O’Briens Sandwich
Bars newest store but their could only be one winner, and
it was Lorraine Smyth and her partner Declan.
“Lorraine
was a true champion, she answered the Shambo™ Shakedown
questions effortlessly, and although she claimed to be nervous
in front of the crowd she was a real pro under pressure!” said
Tony Fenton, Tony Fenton’s Lunchtime Show, Today FM.
“The
competition proved to be very entertaining and nerve wracking
for the contestants, their families and the audience. We
hope both Lorraine and Declan enjoy their fantastic trip
to Cape town South Africa and hope they pop into Ian Said,
O’Briens Franchise Partner, Cape town for a Shambo™ “,
said Fiacra Nagle, M.D. O’Briens Ireland.
O’Briens didn’t let the three runners up head home cases packed;
instead they won a two nights stay in a luxurious 4star hotel in Isle of Man
and flights courtesy of Aer Arann.
