The funds from this year’s event will be used by the
Foundation to build at least 15 “Gers” or family
houses for underprivileged families, on the outskirts of Ulan
Bator in Mongolia. The temperature in Ulan Bator plummets to –40
C in the winter, so by providing these house, O’Briens
can help save lives and keep families together.
The proceeds of the O’Briens Golf Day in 2004 enabled
the Foundation to build a Kindergarten school for 140 children
in Vietnam, which is expected to open shortly.
Golfers will be playing on the new Smurfit Course, home to
the European Open.
This is the final call for Golfers wishing to participate
in the event. There are a limited number of places available,
for further information please contact O’Briens on
01 472 1400.
Teams are limited to 30 to ensure that participants have the
opportunity to enjoy the early evening clinic by former European
Tour professional John McHenry.
Cost per team is €3,500 plus VAT
