1988, Brody decided to start a franchise business having spent
many years working in the industry and gaining valuable insights.
He had a good idea what the O’Briens brand should do.
He wanted it to encapsulate all the positive traditional Irish
values,
yet reflect modern Ireland and changing lifestyles with a proposition
that would have universal appeal.
So
the O’Briens concept was born with our
made to order sandwiches, WRAPPOS™, Tossed Salads, TOOSTIES™,
espresso-based coffee drinks and a range of branded snacks
and drinks, served for sit in or takeaway, whatever the customer
choice. An extensive variety of catering platters for business
and social functions can be delivered direct to customers every
day of the week.
When
the first store opened in Dublin, a great deal of time was
spent ensuring that systems offered the most
comprehensive support available to our franchise partners.
Our aim has always been to invest as much as necessary in getting
the O’Briens brand right.
Since then, the network of stores
has developed across Ireland, the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia
and continues
to grow more rapidly today.
